The fundraising committee was set up in March 2008 in order to try to raise some additional funds to help the club get through the difficult time ahead when the RCP finally closes for refurbishment. It is planned to use the funds raised to help finance the relocation of the springboards to another venue and to help with the creation of a dry dive facility within Edinburgh or the surrounding area. We are also hoping that the various swimming associations will see that we have some concerned parents of children who are determined to continue to participate and enjoy their chosen sport and to be ready for when the RCP reopens whenever that date will be.

The sponsored drop has just finished and we are now in the process of collecting the money in from the children. We believe that the event has been a success but will only have a final total when all forms and monies have been returned so please hand them in ASAP.
Lottery tickets are in the process of being handed out to the children. The first draw is due to take place in August so please get selling the tickets. Money and tickets can be handed into any of the committee members above from the start of next term, but please be aware of the dates for the draw and deadlines for submission. Also remember you can pre-sell future months tickets to save asking the same people on a monthly basis.

A race night has been organised for Friday the 26th of September at Myreside. This could be a big money spinner for the club but will only be a success with everyone’s support. Tickets will be available from the committee from the start of next term.
The committee are always open to any fun ideas that any of the clubs parents or kids have to raise the funds that the club needs
